What we change

A lower counter section. A stretch of counter at table height with open knee space, for sitting while you work.
Pull-out shelves and drawers. Base cabinets that bring the back of the shelf to you.
Wall oven at reach height. No bending to the floor for a hot pan.
Side-opening or drawer appliances. A drawer microwave and a side-swing oven door.
Lever faucet and single-lever handles. On the sink and every cabinet.
Lighting. Under-cabinet lights over the counters and brighter, even ceiling light.
Non-slip flooring. A textured floor that is easy to clean.

We watch how you use the kitchen and note what is hard to reach.

A layout and one written price, appliances included if you want them.

A cabinet and counter update takes a couple of weeks. A full kitchen takes longer and we give you a schedule.

We check every reach and every handle with you before we leave.

Do we have to redo the whole kitchen?

No. A lowered counter section, pull-outs in the base cabinets, and a wall oven can be done inside the kitchen you have.

What counter height works for a wheelchair?

About 30 to 32 inches, with open space underneath. We build one section at that height and leave the rest at standard height.

Can the sink be made reachable from a seat?

Yes. A shallow sink with the drain at the back and open space below, with the pipes insulated.

Will it look like a normal kitchen?

Yes. The same cabinets, counters, and appliances as any kitchen remodel, arranged so everything is within reach.
